A few months back @Hayabusa_MMA came out with their first gi, and it looked like they put in quite a bit of hard work into make something special. Robert Drysdale was the face for the gi and I had to admit the commercial shot by Bobby Razak had me intrigued especially since I owned a pair of their MMA shorts and I still love wearing them. My one problem with the gi was the tribal style artwork on the shoulders and back of the kimono. I like a clean simple gi with not too many patches. It seems like I wasn’t the only one with the same opinion because they recently introduced the Hayabusa Pro Jiu-Jitsu Gi without the extra art work. Its still a pricey gi at $230 bucks but I would love to test drive it and feel the triple weave rip stop kimono before shelling out that much money for a company that doesn’t have a reputation like Isami or Howard in the gi market.
